Although even in this regard debates of the Forum can be impressive, the essence of Krynica’s meetings is about something else. A unique place is created here for discussions about everything, which is very important for both Central and Eastern Europe. It is the place, where debates are held on the economic future, energy security, foreign policy, perspectives of the EU and also values of literature or European borders. It is a place, where different interests, opinions and sensitivities meet one another.
Krynica provides a platform for a debate, which is the salt of democracy. Here, no one tries to out shout anyone else or portray a false image of one’s opponent. The people, who arrive to the Forum, and this is not as easy as it seems, want to learn something new. They want to become familiar with new facts, interpretations and, perhaps most of all, with people. „Rzeczpospolita” has for years been a media partner of Krynica’s meetings. This year we have planned to publish a special magazine. It seems to be the best way to stay together with our readers. The ones, who read our newspaper everyday in Polish and those, who will have such opportunity for the first time.
