A couple years ago it was a place of meeting for presidents and prime ministers of our regional countries. Today, the key persons are the President of the European Parliament, Buzek, the Vice Prime Minister Pawlak and several ministers and vice ministers, but mostly from Poland. In order to ensure a true international character of the event, the Prime Minister and the President should support it.
Previously, Krynica was visited by the biggest players of our part of Europe who knew that they could meet Polish leaders here. Since the times of the PiS administration the situation has changed and this is no longer so obvious. Therefore, it is hard to invite the heads of other countries. Such policy of the Polish authorities disturbs the development of Krynica as the meeting place of the region’s leaders. It seems that Prime Minister Tusk has not come as he was afraid to be asked about the plan of introduction of the Euro in 2011 announced in Krynica last year. He has avoided difficult questions, but missed the possibility to participate in the biggest meeting of Polish managers. zastępca redaktora naczelnego „Rzeczpospolitej”
