he Economic Forum, for the 22nd time provided an opportunity to meet for politicians and business people from Central and Eastern Europe. The Forum not only accompanies the transformations in our region ever since their beginning, but is also influencing their shape to certain extent.
The meetings in Krynica originted from a discussion among one hundred people concerned. Today, they attract over 2,500 representatives of the political and economic circles and more than 500 journalists.
I am particularly glad that the Forum is increasingly interesting for entrepreneurs since it provides a unique chance to present one's achievements and plans, it allows investigating possibilities for cooperation and participating in debates involving top-class business practitioners and theoreticians.
People meet in Krynica not only to present their offers but also to share their thoughts and advice. I believe that this year's meeting will play an important role in the discussion about new visions for the hard times ahead, i. e. effective methods of overcoming the crisis in Europe and worldwide.
