Will we manage to agree on future values for the European Union? The debate will be moderated by Aleksander Kwaśniewski, former president of Poland. The other attendants are Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz – President of Warsaw and former president of the NBP, Mario Monti from Bocconi University in Italy, Wolfgang Clement, former Minister of Economy of Germany and former Prime Minister of North Rhine-Westphalia, Marcelino Oreja Aguirre, former European Commissioner and former Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Pedro Pereira da Silva, Director General of Jeronimo Martins Dystrybucja, and Zygmunt Żak-Solorz, chairman of the supervisory board of Polsat.

[b]On the development path – chances for and challenges to leaders of the Polish economy[/b]

What can be done to help Polish companies fight efficiently for the title of European leaders in their trades? How does one prepare for effective development and minimise risk? The following persons will attempt to answer to these questions: Jacek Poświata, Managing Director of McKinsey & Company, Jan Krzysztof Bielecki, former Prime Minister and Chairman of the Council of Economy advising the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, Henryka Bochniarz, President of the Polish Confederation of Private Employers Lewiatan, Mariusz Grendowicz, former President of BRE Bank, Andrzej Klesyk, President of PZU, Herbert Wirth, President of KGHM Polska Miedź, and Maciej Dyjas, President of Eastbridge.

Answers to this questions will be searched for by the following media representatives: Paweł Lisicki, Editor-in-Chief of Rzeczpospolita, Jakub Bierzynski, Director General of Omnicom Media Group, Jan Cieński, correspondent for the Financial Times in Warsaw and Prague, Martin Ehl, head of the foreign division of Hospodarskie Noviny from the Czech Republic, and Wiesław Podkański, Honorary President of Axel Springer Polska.

What is the EU gas market going to be like after the introduction of the EU Energy Directives? What will influence the market in Europe and in what way? The debate will be chaired by Andriej Konoplanik, advisor of the Management Board of Gazprombank. The debate participants are Wim Groenendijk, Vice President of N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie from the Netherlands, Denis Leonow, deputy head of department of Gazprom Export, Stefanie Neveling from the Federal Agency of Transmission Systems in Germany, Urban Rusnak, Ambassador in charge of energy safety of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia, and Władimir Fejgin, Managing Director of the Institute of Energy and Finance Foundation.
