In today’s ever-competitive working environment there is a constant need to be a better manager, better communicator or better organizer. One is under pressure to constantly prove he or she is better suited for the job than anyone else.

That is why one important motivating factor for a worker is being given opportunities to develop professionally through ongoing training. I personally am a strong believer that learning doesn’t finish once we graduate from school. It’s a process that continues throughout our personal and professional lives. Companies have put a strong emphasis on professional development and have started allocating money to hiring professional business trainers, consultants and coaches. The Business Coaching industry has been flourishing over the past few years. Around 58 percent of organizations in the USA say they have increased their use of coaching in the past year. Why is the role of the business coach so fundamental in the success of a company?

One of the most famous American football coaches of all times Vince Lombardi, said: We would accomplish many more things if we did not think of them as impossible.

Vince Lombardi’s quotes and teachings become motivational tools for many famous coaches, leaders and business trainers, because the role of a business coach is to motivate people to action. They help people see that the impossible is possible. However, what is more important is that coaches help you change the way you think about yourself and your company. Running a business is not always rewarding, at times it can be painstakingly difficult. A business coach can help a manger work with renewed passion, getting more done in the same time period by working smarter, and at the same time helping him in reclaim his life by improving his work/life balance. Therefore having a business coach is not a luxury nowadays but a necessity.
